Arts and Healing Programs and Courses


Our creative arts therapy work takes our fundamental mission of storytelling and turns it inward: helping people explore, express, and reshape their own stories. Our therapeutic programs are developed and delivered in collaboration with appropriately credentialed creative arts therapy and healthcare professionals. Programs may incorporate drama, music, movement, storytelling, visual art, writing and other creative modalities according to the needs of the population served.

Group Sessions

12 week Residencies available for Classrooms

Each session will establish a safe space for exploration, utilizing narradrama techniques.

Sessions will work through exploring the story of self through role play work, movement, music, and

narrative storytelling. Sessions will include utilizing various art forms including music, art, and

creative writing.


Continuing Education for Qualified Professionals

DRAMA THERAPY AND SENSORY INTEGRATION

Course Title:
Using Sensory Integration and Drama Therapy to Support Children with disabilities

Course Duration:
3 hours (virtual live + enduring)

Course Overview:
participants will explore sensory integration challenges in children with disabilities and learn to integrate drama therapy techniques to facilitate sensory processing, emotional expression, and participation in meaningful activities.

Intended Audience:
Occupational Therapists, OT Assistants in pediatrics, drama therapists


Learning Outcomes:

  • Describe sensory integration deficits related to special needs children.
  • Apply drama therapy concepts to support sensory and emotional needs.
  • Utilize sensory integration activities to improve motor planning and sensory modulation.
  • Incorporate drama therapy to promote social engagement and adaptive behaviors.
  • Develop comprehensive intervention plans integrating both modalities.

Drama Therapy For Chronic Pain


In this program you will embark on an 8 week exploration of your relationship with pain. The "LEAD" method was developed by Dr. Marie O'Brien, Integrative Nurse Practitioner and Jen Faith Brown. (Drama Therapist) 

Through the LEAD method you will have the opportunity to


Learn the ways in which drama therapy can be utilized as an effective modality for chronic pain.

Explore the relationship between the mind and body and identify strategies for therapeutic healing related to this connection.

Access new pathways for responses to chronic pain including Biological, Psychological, Behavioral, and Spiritual 

Develop your own story of the physical, emotional, and spiritual meaning of pain

Music Therapy


Lightkeeper Produces several cabaret and concert performances each year. LKP is especially dedicated to reaching underserved audiences such as senior centers and children's hospitals. To that end, the company also produces several recordings each year with an emphasis on music and healing, education and ethnomusicology.
